I live in Saxis, Virginia; a little town about 15 miles west of Chincoteague, Va. It's not the end of the world, but you can get a good view of it from here!

I've been working with decoys for over 25 years. I worked at Stoney Point Decoys in Oak Hall, Va. for more than 14 years. When I started there, it was the world's largest decoy factory.

But in June of 2003, it went out of business. At that time, I was the lead artist and new product designer. Click here for the Stoney Point story.

My work has been featured in the Dec. 2002 / Jan. 2003 issue of Wildfowl Magazine as well as Ducks Unlimited Magazine. I have also had the privilege of working with world-known decoy carver and artist Cameron McIntyre in developing a line of working decoys for The Orvis Company.

I was the only artist that painted the decoys featured in their 2002 catalog, and I painted every decoy for that contract except for a few hen Mallards.

A drake Bluebill I painted for Stoney Point also won us a contract with Ducks Unlimited for 2003-2004. It is featured in the DU Event Merchandise Catalog, page 13. This was the last project for Stoney Point Decoys.

GIVING CREDIT TO THE ONE WHO DESERVES IT.

My "job" ended when Stoney Point closed its doors for the last time in 2003.

But when God closes one door, He opens another. With help from several friends and fellow carvers, I have started my own business.

I wanted to give it a name that would honor the One who gave me my artistic ability - GOD. So I chose "5th Day of Creation Reproductions" because GOD created every winged bird on the 5th day of creation. (Genesis 1:21-23)

I just make reproductions of what He has already created!

All my decoys are handcrafted and hand painted. I also paint for several other carvers.

So if you've got a decoy that needs painting, or if you are a really good carver and not so good at painting, get in touch with me.

My prices are very reasonable, and I guarantee your satisfaction!
